FOREST SHIELD

Protecting forests from space. Proving compliance from orbit.

Revenue Potential €290M+/year
FOREST SHIELD mission patch
Forest Area Monitored 1.5 billion hectares
Detection Speed <48 hours
EUDR Market Size €290M+/year
Revisit Rate Every 3–5 days

The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) requires companies to prove their supply chains are deforestation-free. Forest Shield provides continuous orbital monitoring of tropical forests, generating compliance certificates that satisfy EUDR requirements for every shipment of palm oil, cocoa, coffee, rubber, soy, and timber from equatorial nations.

The Challenge

EUDR compliance requires geolocation-tagged proof that commodities were not produced on recently deforested land. With 1.5 billion hectares of tropical forest to monitor, ground-based verification is impossible. Companies face €millions in fines for non-compliance, yet have no reliable way to verify their supply chains.

The Inversion

EquaSat monitors every hectare of tropical forest every 3–5 days using SAR (cloud-penetrating) and optical sensors. AI models detect deforestation events within 48 hours. Compliance certificates are generated automatically for any GPS-tagged plot, providing legally defensible proof for EUDR submissions.

Step 1

EquaSat SAR satellites scan tropical forests every 3–5 days, through clouds and at night

Step 2

AI deforestation detection models flag clearance events within 48 hours

Step 3

Exporters submit GPS coordinates of their sourcing plots

Step 4

System cross-references plot locations against deforestation timeline

Step 5

Compliance certificates are auto-generated with tamper-proof audit trail

Step 6

Certificates submitted directly to EU regulatory portals
